The Shauna Duman Family Fund

The Dauntless Fire Company of Ebensburg and the Ebensburg Borough Police Department are conducting a fund and item drive on behalf of the Shauna Duman family, who lost the majority of their family possessions in a house fire in town on December 8th.

Fire Prevention Week is here

With the 2011 National Fire Prevention Week kicked off on October 9th, the Dauntless Fire Company would like to remind everyone to change the batteries in their smoke detectors. The batteries should be changed every 6 months regardless if they are working or not. Smoke detectors save lives, but only if they're working!

Fire company members will be performing fire drills at all the local schools and day cares this week. If you would like to schedule a fire drill you can contact the fire company at 472-9281.

2011 Wine Extravaganza

The Dauntless Fire Company will be hosting its annual Wine Extravaganza in conjunction with the Ebensburg Potatofest on September 24th. The doors to the fire hall open at 9am and the event runs until 5pm. Admission is $10 and all proceeds benefit the fire company. Come enjoy samples of some of the finest wine and foods around.

The fire company's annual fund drive will be held on October 3rd and 4th. Donations that we receive during this event make up a significant portion of our yearly budget, and we encourage everyone to consider donating this year. Even a small donation can add up to a lot in the end.

All residents who live within our coverage area should have received a package in the mail that includes a envelope for sending in a donation. You can either mail it back to the address below, or a representative will stop by your house to pick it up. We will be picking up from residents of Cambria Township during the afternoon of October 3rd and residents of Ebensburg Borough the evening of the 4th. As a reminder we only do pickups on these dates, and anyone who approaches you about a donation should be wearing attire that signifies they are a member of the Dauntless Fire Co.

2nd Annual Wine Extravaganza is Coming

Come and sample wine from some of Pennsylvania's best wineries! The wine tasting will be held in conjunction with the Ebensburg Potato Fest, September 26th at Dauntless Fire Company, 209 West Sample Street. The doors open at 9am and the wine will flow until 5pm. Success at Central District

The Dauntless Fire Company once again had a very strong showing at the Central District Firemen's Convention in Irvona, PA. Engine 22-1 and Truck 22-3 both brought home first place trophies in their category, and there were 22 members on the street for the marching unit. Next years convention will be hosted by Clymer Fire Department.

6th Annual MedSTAR Charity Motorcycle Ride

The MedSTAR ride will be held July 25th. It starts at Greenhouse Park, Route 403 Johnstown, PA. Signups begin at 11:30 am and the ride will start at 1:00 pm.
